From a comment thread at the SMH blog All Men are Liars:
'Most of my girlfriends, like me, like a bit of the chase ourselves. Guys that run around you doe-eyed and sleep beside your bed so you have something warm to put your feet on in the morning (ok i am exaggerating here) are a complete turn off.'
Oh, I don't know. I could struggle along with one of those.

That's so cute. Women have less muscle than men and so consequently are colder. I did a training course recently. The room was nice and fridge-like. A woman entered and said "Bit chilly in here" and her neighbour had to counter with "Wait until everyone's here before we turn up the heat."
I'm seriously considering making/buying one of those quilts that is light on one side and heavy on the other because BB's (overheated) body temp and mine are totally incompatible. Actually, I think separate beds is the go, but he always looks aghast at the suggestion. I think that would be cute. We'd both sleep well, and we could have 'dates', just like in the old days. Sigh. Sometimes I miss being single. I used to sleep in the middle of the bed, just like that drawing by Leonardo da Vinci.
I hate sleeping alone. Even when I was a kid I felt that there was something seriously wrong with the concept.
I feel as though I am adrift when I am in bed by myself. Pathetic I know...
It takes me about three days to get used to sleeping in our bed by myself. Then I get very comfy smack bang in the middle and invariably he comes home and it takes me three days to get used to sharing again.
Then again, with kids you need never sleep alone again, even when you really really want to.
well there's almost always someone sleeping on my feet when I wake up in the morning.
I'll live.
