AFL's little ironies

Now that it is much, much too late to matter, my team are belting the Kangaroos all over the park -- particularly the Burgoyne brothers, the Motlop cousins, Toby Thurstans, Brendan Lade and Domenic Cassisi, by the sound of the commentary. Peter Burgoyne when last heard of had 45 possessions, and the game's not over yet.

Sigh.

We were just saying much the same thing over here...and not that it's an issue or anything, but I was right about Motlop, and the mister was wrong.

As an Essendon supporter, I suspect you would agree the less said about the 2008 season the better really.

But well done on walloping North Melbourne - we'll just knock of St Kilda then....

As someone who hates football, but half of whose family comes from Footscray (grammar problems there - please disregard) I've been forced to pay some attention to this season. That and a certain friend and colleague in Qld partnered with a Geelong supporter who keeps threatening me with a Cats vs Dogs showdown. I think, considering the Cats appear to have won it last year you should throw your support behind my 85 year old diabetic Footscray aunt (they are still in the running aren't they - I haven't been paying attention.
But what I really wanted to say was - a/ - that cartoon of you was a bit eerie
and b/ hey - US election - either way - an African American or a woman (from ALASKA, WHAT'S MORE) in the white house
Is this where I admit I'm more interested in that than aussie rules...
Love,
Tyaakian

It was one of the weirdest AFL games I've seen in a while - well done Port and all, but the hell were the Kangaroos doing?
