No, it doesn't look like Adelaide to me either

Your night photos are making Adelaide look more and more mean streetish and livable each time. Coupled with GS-T's graffito snaps it looks as if Adelaide is nearly worth a visit.

It does look like Adelaide, because of the pavement-spanning verandahs, which I love.

FXH -- I lived in an as-yet-unyuppified part of Brunswick for eleven years (gone-bad heroin deals down in the alley under my window, Vietnamese sweatshop in the factory next door with vicious German Shepherd guard dog, fatal crashes down the road at the major intersection and so on) -- so the phrase 'mean streetish and livable' has about it to me the ring of the oxymoronic. If I were taking night photos in Brunswick I'd be softening them in iPhoto, not the opposite.

The night photos are fun. I do love reducing everything down to blobs of light (which of course everything is anyway).

CIB -- yes, one is grateful for a pavement-spanning verandah on a 43 degree day. This is the one around the beautiful sandstone building that used to be Charles Moore's and is now part of the law courts.
