I have two holes in each ear, and when I am feeling adventurous I wear four different non-matching earrings that seem to go well together.
Since I put that post up this morning I have discovered more gold earrings that I thought were lost forever, a beautiful pair made of white, yellow and rose gold that I bought to wear with a necklace of the same three-colours-gold. I'd gone out and bought replacements for them, too. Why don't I ever lose the cheap earrings?
I know exactly where I lost one of the little jade hearts. But I'm not in any position to go back there after all these years and look for it.
You never lose the cheapies. The two dollar tacky dangly ones will live forever.
Any with monetary or sentimental value are immediately marked by gobblins for munching on, and disappear shortly after you decide you really really really love them.
