Another cat haiku, also by Anon

My brain: walnut sized.
Yours: largest among primates.
Yet, who leaves for work?

I am a stomach
Covered by fur and optimism
You like me purring

Your cat is researching
A definitive treatise
About car oil pans

Do you mind, I'm busy
Crap, vomit and furballs?
That was someone else

If you were my size
My teeth would be in your neck
Let's deal, can opener

Heh.

Very f(el)ine.

Of the list I am selecting from, thoughtfully emailed to me be a non-cat-loving friend, there is one that comes rather close to (though to my mind is not as good as) the third of yours, viz:

There's no dignity
in being sick, which is why
I don't tell you where

I have so much hair
That I'm quite willing to share
Summer's in the air

What's on the TV?
What's on the computer keyboard?
You talking to me?

This is too easy for you. Perhaps a villanelle ...?

Villanelle, schmielanelle
Felines find such posey
A poor substitute for
A Double Dactyl

Stretching body and points
Comes naturally to those
Born without thumbs
But prone to polydact(y)

Cats and computers go together
like bacon and eggs
like Laurel and Hardy

dogs: bored now
wanna put claw to earth
and check out the latest shit

cats like a room with a reason
with no surprises but opportunity
and warm and dim

with
many
dangly

bits

they watch your eyes
establish the sightlines
and vogue

and there you are
playing with flickering light and mice
eating and not looking at them

so they pad out
bnkujdacs7y874qweiu
while you relieve youself

even using a taunting tail to wipe
your screen free of sneeze cheese
doesn't remove their uneasy smirk

but they get the idea of steady pains taken
and that a house with a computer
has a room one can own

Gotta love that.

And all true, too.
