Zoe, there is indeed you, and what's more there's ThirdCat as well. And there is also Stephanie, who shares my tastes both for blogging and for cricket and is someone I know IRL.
While certianly not as comprehensive as Gideon Haigh, I did make one post a couple of days ago on how Panesar was not selected for the first two matches. I might even put up another post in a few days on umpires and how they seem to favour Australia. Despite all the hype, I can't really get into this series. I'm an Australian of Irish parents and I still want England to win so sick am I of seeing these arrogant people known as the Australian cricket team win everything. The cricket now is just too depressing to watch for any length of time for me.
Yes, count me in. Which is why I was not online till this late in the day. I thought Panesar was completely inspiring in the field today, I must say, and even took Gilchrist's extraordinary over (066426) or something like it, with incredible grace. Will check out Gideon's blog: I heard his dulcet tones on the local ABC a few weeks ago. Bloggers will be pleased to know he had got on to Chaucer's blog. Last time I saw him (at a booklaunch for a study of Renaissance history), he was wearing a raggedy t-shirt with the immortal inscription, 'I wolde I knewe how of thee I mighte be quitten'. Myself, I've always been tempted by this one: "All your Aquitaine are belong to us. Crecy: Knight Commander. Available on all gamynge platformes, Michaelmas, 1385." Chaucer's blog is at http://houseoffame.blogspot.com

Well, there's me. And I love almost all of Gideon Haigh's writing. Just not that silly article about google in The Monthly. So ta.

I missed out on everything today except Gilchrist (just) missing out on Viv Richards' all-time land speed record. But that was pretty exciting.
