I shall not detail how my editor and I idly arrived at a film proposal: VAMPIRE PANDAS AT THE BEIJING OLYMPICS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Starring Jackie Chan, the Yangtse river dolphin, the clay warriors as golems, x numbers of headless drug cheats, Kevin Gosper (also headless), the People's Liberation Army Choir, a cameo from the Dalai Lama, ditto Roy and HG, & the ghost of Mao. Alas, tyrants have no sense of humour, so the film is unlikely to be made.

I'm very, very sorry I'll never get to see that movie. For some reason the golems have particular appeal.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds strangely like a scene in Jackass: the Movie, where giant roller-blading pandas invade the streets of Tokyo. Did you or your editor happen to have a hand in that movie, Lucy S?
