I was actually at the game and nearly laughed out loud when I heard that one. The commentator, Mark McClure, followed that up by using the term "unsurety" a little while later. He meant "uncertainty". I looked this up just now and find that Webster's defines it as "Want of surety; uncertainty; insecurity; doubt. [Obs.] --Sir T. More." So, maybe, the footy commentators are a bit better at this than we thought.
That's a good one. I bet this guy says 'impregnable' a lot. Calling sport seems like a really hard thing to do well and I can see why they depend on stock phrases so much, but the dangers are evident.
